Commissioner's Rankings 2024
We made it guys. The final two. After a short 11 days of counting down from 12 to 3, we can finally reveal who will win the Thumper Bowl and who will be heartbroken coming in second. Before that, let's take a look at the last few year's predictions:
Whoever I pick to win the league the last two years has ended up finishing last. If I went back farther I believe there would be more of these. So... Good luck whoever I rank 1st in just a few scrolls.
Other than that, my predictions are pretty damn good. I correctly picked the 2nd place team the last two years, got 4/6 playoff teams correct last year and in 2021, and picked Austin and Chris to miss the playoff all three years correctly.
Injury Report:
I don't think there has been a major injury this week. Aiyuk is still with the 49ers. CMC can still walk. Nothing to report.
Number 2 - Dom
I could have gone with either team at the 1 and 2 spot, but I don't want the curse to continue with Dom.
This team doesn't have a hole. I hate Burrow only because he fucked me last year, but he's still a good QB. Ferguson was my target at TE and a great pick in the 8th.
Dom didn't take a WR until the 4th round and still has a better WR unit than some of you. Moore is the only sure deal WR in Chicago. Kupp could be the steal of the draft in the 5th round. Let's see how Puka's injury really is when the season begins. I loved Christian Kirk in the draft. He got picked here a round or two earlier than I was planning, but he should be the top WR on the Jags. Then he finished up with some young guys in Smith-Njigba and Doubs (already dropped Keon Coleman). Locket is another year older so JSN should get a chance to shine under this new coaching staff in Seattle.
Finally, the RBs. Combining Bijan with the old duo of Mixon and Kamara. He needs one of the two older guys to hit. Word out of camp is that the Saints o-line is garbage so he's going to have to hope Mixon can step it up on a new team.
Bold Prediction: Moore, Kupp, Kirk finish as top 20 WRs.
Thumper Bowl Champion - Bruce
You can't draft Christian McCaffrey and not be ranked in the top three. I'm not just ranking you as the champion hoping that the curse continues. I'm ranking you as the champ because your team is awesome and I hate it.
You have the top QB in the league and took him at his ADP in the 3rd. I hate taking QB that early, but then you got deals at every position.
CMC at the 1.01 as he should be then turned around and got Achane, the best RB in the league. Followed that up with Rahmondre late as your backup and a couple of young RB's that could become something if there are injuries in front of them.
McBride felt like a reach to me until I heard all these podcasts and pundits talk about how great his season was last year. He should be a stud with a healthy Kyler all season.
Like Dom, you also waited until the 4th for WR and also have better WRs than half the league. The reliable veteran Deebo, the stud rookie Nabers, the always potential breakout Watson, and the forgotten stud rookie Thomas pair for what could end up being the top WR unit.
There's not a bad position on this team. Honestly the only thing that could hold them back is injuries. Your team does have some of the most injury prone guys: CMC, Achane, Deebo, Watson. Allen is probably due for an injury too. I doubt all that happens though. Congrats on your championship!
