2025 Commissioner's Preseason Power Rankings: Part 2

Internet is back up and we only have one night until football starts. I gotta rush through this so I can give you all the Week 1 Game of the Week as well.

8. Bruce

To backup what I said yesterday, this was the most difficult year to rank everyone. These top 8 are all playoff contenders and could vie for the number 1 seed.

Why did I pick Bruce to be 8th? I just have a feeling he will fall back to earth finally. The highlights of this team are Saquon, Lamar, and Bowers. Everyone else should have a big question mark next to them this year.

Bruce obviously loves rookies and young guys that have done nothing yet: Henderson, Harvey, Odunze, Charbonnet, Davis, Guerrendo. He really needs two or three of these to hit. That may not happen without injuries to starters. Bruce needs luck on his side bad.

7. Aron

I really like this team at first glance. Nix, Jeanty, Thomas, Ladd are all top 7 at their positions. Jeudy is one of the most underrated WRs in the league now. Ekeler is a starter on one of the most explosive offenses in the league.

That's a lot of positives. So whats wrong with this team? There's five big 1st or 2nd year guys on this team that can make or break it. Is Nix really as good as he showed us last year? Can Ladd and Thomas be top 10 WRs like they were last year? Finally, this team is lead by two rookie RBs. Jeanty was obviously awesome in college, but can that hold up in the NFL? Hampton isn't even the starter in LA.

Just like Bruce, I think this team could hit if those guys all play up to their potential. I expect Aron in the playoffs even if I only have him ranked 7th.

6. Dom

I may like the potential of the last two starting lineups a little more than Dom's, but I like the depth of this team better. There aren't as many question marks on this team.

Goff, Jacobs, Hubbard, Puka, Meyers have all shown they can put up numbers year-over-year. So all he has to worry about is one or two of Smith-Njigba, Harrison, Pearsall, Benson, or Tuten stepping up.

Smith-Njigba is the WR1 for Seattle with little competition (Kupp is old and not a threat. I'm sorry.) Harrison showed flashes of greatness last year. He just needs consistency. Pearsall should have a big opportunity with Aiyuk and possibly Jennings out. Just hope he doesn't get shot again.

Finally, Benson and Tuten are two of the backup RBs that a lot of the analysts believe have shots at taking over the starting gigs on their respective teams. That would be two nice flex options.

5. Brady

What's there to say? Middle of the road team. Strong WRs. Strong TE. One great RB followed by 5 hopefully good RBs. We'll see what this team can do.

4. Rusty

I like this team a lot. It's one of Rusty's best drafted teams. Let's just start from the top.

Purdy is a proven talent and McCarthy could be the nest big thing. One time I don't mind rostering two QBs. Kyren (my love) is a top RB that everyone forgets about each year. Following that up with Pacheco and Hall at RB 2 and 3 makes for a very underrated RB group. If Skattebo can take over the Giants backfield, Rusty may have the highest rated RB group by end of year.

Kraft is supposed to take a big step this year. If he doesn't then Rusty can just replace him with another TE. TE sucks anyways.

Finally, the best part of this team is the WRs. It seems like Rusty always has one of the strongest WR groups, but this may be his best. Chase should have been the 1.01 in every .5 or full PPR draft this year. London is another top 10 WR. Worthy could put up huge numbers while Rashee Rice is out. Then he has Pickens and Allen who will both be on better offenses this year. I could see his WRs and Kyren carrying him far.

3. Chris

If you told me Chris won the Thumper Bowl, I wouldn't be surprised. It's easier to point out the weaknesses than anything here. Judkins isn't even a signed NFL player at the moment, but he could be a huge difference maker in Cleveland if he signs his contract soon. Is this the year Kyle Pitts finally learns to play football? The only other problem here is Tyjae Spears who is a good backup, but also on IR to start the season.

Daniels, Bucky, Jetta are all top guys at their positions. Them combined with every week starters like Aaron Jones, Ridley, Jennings, Engram, and Wilson make this team really scary.

2. Clint

I may have this team a little overrated, but it's too late to make changes now. There's really no holes on this team.

Hurts, Gibbs, Nabers, Njoku. I love all those picks. I really like the stack of Hurts and Smith too since it sounds like Brown is banged up.

I love Kenneth Walker when he's healthy. If he can stay healthy all season then you have a league winner. That's a big if unfortunately. I'm ranking you like he stays healthy.

Everyone is writing off Olave since New Orleans doesn't have a QB, but I don't know about that. He's the best WR on a team that will be throwing a lot. I could see a bounceback season. Between Olave and the eventual Godwin return, you have a very nice WR room.

Then we have your bench. Najee, White, and Johnson will be three RBs competing for carriers. I think all three could see about half the snaps at RB on their teams. People don't realize how good of a season White had last year. He'll be a fine flex player weekly.

1. Logan

At first glance I had this team ranked 6th. Then I starter to write about it. There is absolutely zero chance this team misses the playoffs. I don't know how you were able to draft this team.

RB: You took the old man route by grabbing Henry and Kamara, then followed that up with last year's PPR king, Achane. If these three can stay healthy it really doesn't matter if you have another RB on your team.

WR: Kind of the same idea here. You grabbed old guys Deebo and Tyreek, but also got rookie Golden and followed that up with Addison and Reed. You should have the Packers WR1 one way or another. Addison is extremely underrated when he's on the field.

Baker seems like the most polarizing QB in fantasy this year. Will he regress or can he put up top 5 QB numbers again? Same can be said for Kelce. Does he spend too much time planning his wedding or do the Chiefs show up and get revenge on the entire league this year? All I know is Logan is winning his 5th Thumper Bowl Championship.
