2025 Week 1 Recap
The games were basically over yesterday, so I'm getting ahead here. Before we get into the Game of the Week, we need to recap what happened this week.
We got a few long term injuries to deal with:
-I lost Kittle for a few weeks.
-Rusty lost Worthy and possibly London for a few weeks as well.
-Anyone who invested in the Dolphins lost those players for the year.
Week 1 Records - Updated through Season 13:
Aron - 8-3 (.727)
2-T. Austin - 8-5 (.615)
2-T. Bruce - 8-5 (.615)
4. Dom - 6-4 (.600)
5-T. Rusty - 7-6 (.538)
5-T. Logan - 7-6 (.538)
7. Brady - 5-8 (.385)
8. Kevin - 4-8 (.333)
9. Bryan - 4-9 (.308)
10. Clint - 3-10 (.231)
11. Chris - 2-7 (.222)
12. Lyndon - 0-1 (.000)
Aron and Austin both gave up losses, bringing them closer to the pack.
On that note, congrats to myself on winning free dinner from Austin.
Alright, that's really all there is to talk about after one week. Let's get to Game of the Week.
Week 2 Game of the Week:
Clint vs Rusty: Bayou Rumble
This will always be the game of the week when it comes up until we get another rivalry game going. Question is, do these two even care anymore? When was the last time we saw one of them buy the other shrimp? We should probably make that a priority this year.
Rusty is coming off a terrible week. Two major injuries and a big loss to Dom. Clint is also coming off a loss with just better news I guess.
Neither team looked inspired last week. Will either team step up this week or in true shrimp form will it be a battle of the bottom feeders? Who needs AI when I can pull out puns like that?
This one really comes down to Rusty's team's health. Chase and Kyren will put up good numbers, but he needs more than that. McCarthy looks good tonight too. If London doesn't play then he's really relying on Breece and Pacheco to step up this week.
This is especially true since I think Clint's team shows up next week. Hurts is the only person that played to his potential this week. Expect Gibbs, Nabers, Smith, and Njoku to get back to their normal points.
I've lost track of the Bayou Rumble record, but I'm sure Rusty knows it. If I had to guess I would say Rusty holds a small lead.
I don't have high expectations for Rusty's team next week. I'm taking Clint here. Enjoy the free shrimp. We'll make sure Rusty pays his bets.
Commissioner's Pick: Clint
