2025 Week 3 Recap
It may only be week 3 but my team is dead. Kittle, Lamb, Tracy, Brown by association. We're done.
What other headlines did we have this week?
James Conner's carrier is probably done.
Same for Najee Harris.
RIP Russel Wilson's career. Unlimited.
There's probably more but those are the big ones I can remember...
Week 2 Bets:
Rusty vs Brady - Winner gets round of golf and dinner - Winner: Rusty
Clint vs Austin - Winner gets 2026 11th and loser gets 2026 12th - Winner: Clint
Week 3 FAAB Recap:
Cam Skattebo - $87 - Bruce - I will be the first to admit I thought it was an overpay for a guy that looked slow, but I was wrong. Tracy looked good to start the game, but an injury lead to Skat having a huge Week 3. Congrats Bruce. May be a league winning move.
Daniel Jones - $78 - Kevin - That's a lot of money to spend on a backup QB that you didn't even start this week. Dimes has looked great so far, but I don't see why you need him.
Packers D - $31 - Brady - I felt like I was in a great spot after Week 2, so I could overspend on a defense that had shut down the Lions and Redskins. They still put up a respectable 9 this week. Hopefully that loss is just what the team needed.
Kenneth Gainwell - $20 - Clint - I didn't understand this move at the time, but it works for Clint's team, especially after losing Najee. Could be a good bye week fill-in.
Week 3 Bad Moves:
Aron starting Jerry Jeudy - Jeudy has looked bad so far and he was going up against the Packers D. Aron had Pittman and BTJ on the bench. Starting either one would have given him enough points to beat Kevin.
Bryan starting any Defense - Bryan lost by .76 points. He could have not started a defense and he would have won. Tough break for him.
Week 4 Game of the Week:
Bruce vs Kevin
I owed Bruce an AI generated image so we got him in the Game of the Week again. I also felt like these two deserved it this week. Two of the worst teams historically are off to hot starts.
Bruce, see what you can do with hard work, dedication, and a little AI? You're on your way to the playoffs for the 5th time(?) in a row. I'm proud of you.
Kevin, I'm proud of you for already having 2 whole wins. That's not always a guarantee with your teams.
ESPN currently has this as a blowout with Bruce projected to score 128 to Kevin's 102. Kevin has Conner in the lineup still with 0 points, but starting Swift is not going to make up 26 points.
So what do I think? That's all that really matters. We have two great QBs here (not talking about you Dimes). We've got two of the best RBs in football facing off. We've got the #2 WR (St Brown) on one side vs the #3 (Odunze) and #5 (Johnston) on the other side.
I just think Bruce's team is too overpowered. With Kevin's RB2 and WR2 weaknesses, I don't see how he can keep up with Bruce. We may be looking at the first ever undefeated team in Thumper history folks.
Commissioner's Pick: Bruce
