2025 Week 4 Recap

Bruce informed us all that I have the best winning record of all the originals, but fuck does it not feel like it at all. Especially when I feel like I have more seasons like this than playoff season. At least I didn't lose anyone this week I guess? Or did I lose the entire Packers defense? I really can't tell. What other headlines did we have?

Clint lost his second round pick Malik Nabers.
Logan and myself lost Tyreek Hill. Why the fuck did we not trade him for anything over the last three weeks??? Fire Grier.
Did Bryan lose Jaylen Warren? I don't know. Guess we'll find out in two weeks.

Week 4 Bets:

Austin vs Dom - Winner gets Dinner - Winner: Austin

Week 4 FAAB Recap:

Blake Corum - $85 - Kevin - Not sure why Kevin picked up a backup RB for $85. Good luck.
Hunter Henry - $45 - Logan - I thought it would just be chasing points grabbing Henry like it is every year after week 2, but he got another TD and is the current TE1. Can't argue with this decision.
Tre Tucker - $31 - Chris - Tre Tucker had a huge week 3, but that's it so far this year. $31 isn't too much money, so probably worth a hold for bye weeks.
Woody Marks - $23 - Brady - Woody went off for 25 points this week. Too bad he was on my bench. Really could have used him... Hopefully he has taken over the backfield in Houston.

Week 4 Bad Moves:

Brady dropping Dak for Purdy and then losing because of it.

Kevin started a backup running back, Blake Corum, instead of D'Andre Swift. Weird move that would have made the game much closer than it was.

For the second week in a row, Bryan started a defense that scored negative points and cost him his game. He is one defensive mistake away from being 3-1 instead of 1-3.

Week 5 Power Rankings:

Inaugural Rankings for the year. Looks right to me. Not much to say yet.

Week 5 Game of the Week:

Bruce vs Chris

I hate picking someone two weeks in a row, so I really hate picking the same person three weeks in a row. When you have the last two undefeated teams facing off, you have to make it game of the week. Consider yourself special Bruce.

How did these two get here? If you remember correctly, I had Chris ranked 3rd in my preseason rankings. The guys I pointed out in my preview actually haven't played as well as expected, but all of his other players have stepped up. The power rankings show he would be 22-22 if he played everyone every week, so it's also helped that he has had a nice schedule.

Bruce was not as high up in my picks. I had him at 8 because he had so many young guys. Well, one of those young guys, Odunze is the WR3 on the season and the pickups of Skattebo and Quentin Johnston have been great as well.

But who stays undefeated? Chris just has too many holes to fill this week. He has to find a QB and a TE, and possibly a RB and WR depending on injuries. I just don't see how he can put up a fight with Bruce's all-star team.

Commissioner's Pick: Bruce
