Commissioner's Rankings 2026
That's 14 drafts in the books fellas. Can't wait for that Carnival Cruise next year with the boys!
Let's get these rankings going. This may be the most even year yet as these were much more difficult than usual. Today we'll go over the first six teams. The six teams I'm projecting to miss the playoffs.
12. Clint
This is a weird team, but I feel like this is what a Clint team looks like every year. The WR room is absolutely incredible: JSN, Collins, Pickens, McMillan. That's four guys that would start on every single team in this league. That's not Clint's problem though.
The RB room is the problem. I get what Clint was doing taking Pickens since he dropped to him, but it may have been best to reach on Breece Hall, Travis Etienne, or a couple of other RBs there in the 3rd. I don't mind McMillan as much in the 4th because I would rather take a shot on later round RBs than invest in Judkins, Monty, or Warren. I am a Swift believer though (all RBs that went after McMillan).
Rhamondre, Dowdle, Chuba, and Crosky Merritt are all in questionable committees. None of the annalists seem to know how these backfields will shakeup a week prior to the season starting.
The only other thing I have to say is, I hope a change of scenery helps Kyler out. I love the guy, but he's just another big question on your roster.
Why #12: Best WR room in the league, but the RB situation is too problematic for me to put him higher.
11. Chris
Chris gets the first bad news of 2026. Less than 24 hours after the draft, Josh Jacobs was put on the Commissioner's Excemp List. If the rumors about the video are true, we may never see Jacobs play football again. Most likely won't see him this season at all anyway. That makes a big difference for Chris's team.
Jefferson and London are both top-15 overall players. That lends to a great WR room. Honestly Hall and Tuten is not a bad RB room either. The problem is Chris has no depth. Mike Evans is hurt, no one really knows if Whtie is the started in Washington or not, and Downs is in a deep WR room.
Last note I have is that I think Herbert could be a sneaky pick for the QB1 this year. Remember what Mcdaniel was able to do with Tua for a year or two? Herbert is a better QB with a ton of weapons around him.
Why #11: Strong top 3 players in the starting lineup, slightly less exciting depth.
10. Kevin
Gibbs + Lamar + Nabers could win the league alone. Each of those players could finish at the top of their positions. The problem is, I don't think two of those will. Lamar is great, but I think you could have waited and got him a or a comparable QB at the 4/5 turn.
I love the idea of Nabers, but he has too much working against him for me. Coming off injury, a QB that won't slide and loves to get concussed (trust me I know all about this), and a downgrade at the Offensive Coordinator position this year).
The bigger problem is that the roster gets noticeably thinner after that. I'm really high on Swift this year, even if Monangai eats into his touches. I also really like Woody Marks to share the Houston backfield with Monty like the Lions do. My problem is your WRs. Sutton and Pittman are fine, but I don't think either blows up this year. They'll be safe for like 7-10 points a week and that will let you down.
Kelce is also a big question mark at his age and a guy I was really high on, Jake Ferguson, apparently is at risk of losing his receiving role to a younger TE? I just saw that today so I'm not sure what's going on.
Why #10: Fantastic stars, but less depth and lack of upside than the teams below.
9. Rusty
AI/ Draft Analyzer and me disagree on this team. Almost all of them had you top 5, but I don't think any of them are taking into account the rumors around your team's injury statuses.
Chase, Jeanty, Egbuka, 3 of your first 4 picks, have injury designations and the coaches are all being quiet about them. I don't expect Chase to miss any time, but the news on Jeanty and Egbuka doesn't look that great.
That forces you to start Warren and Watson/ Addison/ Johnston in the first few weeks. Reports are acting like Warren will heavily be splitting carriers or possible even be the 2nd/ 3rd stringer in Pittsburgh. That's big if so.
I like Hurts and Kincaid but some analysts are really low on Hurts this year. They got a new OC so we should see a new system for Hurts.
Why #9: Extremely high ceiling once healthy, just slightly less balanced than the rest of the league.
8. Lyndon
Drafting at the end of the round has its advantages. CeeDee + Achane is an awesome starting point. Both are top-12 players in most rankings. Then you got another top 12 WR from last year in Zay Flowers who just got an even better offensive coach. That's 3 very strong starters.
You followed that up with two guys that have big questions marks: Cam Skattebo and Luther Burden. Skat was awesome when he wasn't trying to get CTE last year. I personally think they guy is just too dumb to stay healthy enough to trust. Maybe the new coaching staff will help, but I don't trust him.
Luther Burden is one of the top 3 consensus sleepers in fantasy this year. I don't know what the analysts saw in him last year, but everyone has been talking him up an insane amount all summer. If it works out then you could easily have the top WR room in the league.
The problem with the team is age and depth. Will we see the Mahomes and Andrews of the past? Can Meyers and Jones set themselves apart from the rest of their team? Did Tyrone Tracy get seariously injured Saturday night?
Why #8: Great top end, plenty of upside. Just like everyone above, lack of depth.
7. Bruce
Listen, I really like this team. The problem like I said earlier is that every team could make the playoffs in my opinion this year. There's not obvious trash squads after the draft. Proud of you guys.
St Brown could easily finish WR1. Bowers is the favorite to finish TE1. Never count out Henry to be a top 3 RB. That's a hell of a top 3. Like with the other teams above, depth is the problem.
I'm a big believer in Brooks and Godwin and think both could finish near the top of their positions as well. Brooks we've never even seen play, but has the opportunity to take over the backfield in Carolina. Godwin was awesome last time he was healthy. If Egbuka is more injured than we think, Godwin could lead one of the best passing offenses in the league.
Back to the depth though. McLaurin, Pollard, Diggs, and Dobbins are all in the second half of their careers. It will be interesting to see how they hold up this year.
Maye was something like the QB2 last year. If he can do that again at least you won't have to worry about QB. I just don't trust him and the Patriots this year. I don't know why.
