2026 Week 2 Recap and Game of the Week
Let's start this off by just saying that 5 of my bottom 6 ranked teams lost week 1. I may be on to something this year. Other highlights of week 1 were:
Injuries! Injuries! Injuries! Brock Bowers, AJ Brown, Ladd McConkey, Kyler Murray, De'zhaun Stribling, Zay Flowers, Nico Collins, Brian Thomas Jr. Those are all names that were injured in week 1. Basically everyone in Thumper was affected in some way already.
Get your Bears, Jags, Bills, Ravens, and 49ers. All five teams put up crazy fantasy stats and look like they'll be carrying teams to the playoffs.
Highs: Aron, Kevin, and Dom all scored more than 130 points in the first week.
Lows: Bryan and Clint failed to score 90 points this week.
The Waiver Report:
Marshawn Lloyd scored 3.7 points. That's a steal at $27 per point scored this week.
There's not much to discuss after 1 week and we don't start Power Rankings until Week 4, so let's just get to the Game of the Week.
Week 2 Game of the Week
Aron (1-0) vs Logan (1-0) - Aron leads the series 10-7
This had to be the game of the week since somehow it's the only 1-0 vs 1-0 matchup this week. Like Masters of the Universe, it's a "blockbuster" but it will probably not be memorable. If we base this off last week's performances, Aron is going to steamroll Logan, but we all know Week 1 is always weird. Can Aron keep up the scoring blitz? Does Logan's team stand a chance?
Aron's week 1 performance was lead by Bijan (27.3), David Montgomery (27.4), Chris Olave (23.2), and Trey McBride (20.0). Looking at their matchups, all four could repeat those numbers this week. throw Davante Adams on top of that and you're looking at 100 points easy.
Logan may have won, but he was letdown by some stars. James Cook (8.4), Higgins (7.4), Jameson Williams (6.5), Laporta (7.3) were all underwhelming week 1 performers. Lucky for Logan, three of those players play in what is expected to be a high scoring Thursday night match between the Lions and Bills. Don't be surprised if all three of those guys double their points tomorrow night.
ESPN has this matchup as basically a pick'em at 118.6 to 117. I have to agree that Logan pulls out a close one this week after those three Thursday night players combine for 55+ points.
Commissioner's Pick: Logan (1-0)
