2026 Week 4 Recap and Game of the Week
Godfather.
Lord of the Rings.
Star Wars (at one time).
All great trilogies. Kind of like the first three weeks of this season. We call these first three weeks the Injury Saga.
Achane, Breece, Etienne, Jetta, Coker, Evans, Baker. All important fantasy players that were injured over the weekend. Now more than ever, the waiver wire may be more important than the actual draft for most teams.
The Waiver Report:
Josh Downs - Brady spent $53 after Alec Pierce went down. He was the only bid... Good news is Downs got peppered with 11 targets this week and surpassed 10 fantasy points for the second week in a row.
Bryce Young - Clint outbid 3 other teams and won the bidding war at $50. Unfortunately for Clint, Young only scored 17.64 points which is less than half what he scored in weeks 1 or 2.
Jonah Coleman - Brady won what was supposed to be the next big rookie RB with a bid of $43. The entire backfield was injured and Coleman looked good Sunday. Surprise! Dobbins and Harvey were miraculously healthy and Coleman was placed on IR the next day...
Denzel Boston - Dom won Boston at $35, beating out two other competitive bids. Boston ended up having his worst game of the young season. Gotta keep an eye on the rookie still.
Tank Bigsby - Dom got his handcuff to Barkley after the injury concerns came out last week. He only paid $15, but thankfully he didn't have to play him since he scored -1 points.
Reminder we don't start Power Rankings until after Week 4. I don't want to be embarrased like the AP Poll and think OU is a top 25 team.
Week 4 Game of the Week
Chris (1-2) vs Kevin (1-2) - Chris leads the series 10-5
We're out of undefeated matchups after only 3 weeks so it's time to get to what really matters: bad teams playing bad teams.
This week we switch to the Weatherford division where two 1-2 teams face off. It's only week 4, but going down 1-3 makes for a long road ahead. Both teams are coming off of wins, so someone is about to start a little run here.
Right now ESPN has Kevin favored to win 120.6 to 111.7, but both teams have players who are questionsable. Kevin could be subbing in Cousins against a tough Chiefs defense if Lamar's new injury gets any worse. Chris has Jefferson and Evans marked as questionable, but I would be surprised if either one of them plays this week. If that happens, Chris will be searching the waiver wire for a replacement. There is not a lot out there...
Here's the deal, if both teams were healthy, then I like Chris's team more, but losing your 3 of your first 5 picks in the draft is and trying to replace them is about impossible. Replacing a QB is a lot easier.
Not saying this game is a sure deal. The game could really just be Gibbs and Swift vs Tuten and Drake. If I look at it that way, then I just have to favor the Gibbs side every day.
Commissioner's Pick: Kevin (3-0)
