2026 Week 5 Recap and Game of the Week

I promised Power Rankings after Week 4 and setting those up takes a while. So I don't think we need an opening this week. Good job everyone setting their lineups except for Bruce.

The Waiver Report:

Ollie Gordon - Chris got the new Dolphins starting RB at $90. Somehow the only competing offer was from Rusty at $36. I wasn't sure about spending much on him, but he looked great against maybe the best defense in the league.
Kenyon Sadiq - Brady spent $37 on the rookie TE and didn't end up playing him due to injury concerns. He was already dropped since Kraft looked good last week.
Kirk Cousins - Kevin got Cousins at $33. Cousins has been the surprise of the year at the QB position.
Kalif Raymond - Kevin spent another $33 on the 40 year old WR phenom. He did nothing exciting this week and should probably be dropped.
Raiders D - Kevin also spent $33 on this defense that no one else bid on. They scored a whole 1 point this week.
Spencer Shrader - Once again, $33 from Kevin. Fortunately for Kevin, Shrader has been on fire since Brady dropped him after week 1.

Week 5 Game of the Week

Austin (1-3) vs Clint (1-3) - Clint leads the series 14-6

We got two 1-3 teams in desperate need of a win this week. ESPN has this one 50/50 and estimated to be within .1 points of each other.

Austin had bad luck week 1, losing AJ Brown. He needs his rookies to continue to break out in order to make a run this year. Love and Tate have both shown flashes of stardom, but he needs consistency.

Clint came into the season with the worst RB draft. Nothing has really changed since then. He put something good together last week, but something like 100 of his 150 points came from four Panthers who are on bye this week.

This one could just come down to who scores the most points between Jonathon Taylor and Jaxson Smith-Njigba.

I'm leaning Austin this week just because it's hard to find four guys on the waivers to fill in for bye weeks.

Commissioner's Pick: Austin (4-0)
