Watonga vs Weatherford has finally begun, and there is zero seperation as the divisions finished week 1 of the Eagle Cup in a deadlock: 4.5 to 4.5. Here is a table of the scores:
Brady, Clint, Chris, and Kevin are the only teams remaining that can try to become the first team to score 6 points overall.
The Waiver Report:
Blake Corum - $41 to Dom. Dom lost Jadarian Price and needed an RB. Looks like it worked out so far as Corum had a big week. Plus with all of the Rams' WRs getting injured, they should rely on Corum even more.
Josh Downs - $23 to Bruce. I just knew since I dropped Downs and someone else picked him up, he would take off. He didnt, the team looks terrible, and their GM was finally fired this week.
Pat Freiermuth - $16 to Rusty. After his best game of the season with 19 points, it's no surprise someone bid for him. Too bad he followed it up with his worst game of the season.
Kimani Vidal - $15 to Ciint. Clint needed an RB bad, so we went after one of the 3 Chargers RBs that are getting carries each week. He followed up two double digit performances with 5.5 points this week. The Chargers look bad.
Germie Bernard - $14 to Brady. WR has been my weakness all season, but I may have found a rookie breakout. Bernard finished the week as the WR 3 with 20.2 points.
Chris (4-2) vs Clint (3-3):
- Clint Leads the Series 5-4
- Last Meeting: 2023 Week 9 - Clint 155.5 - Chris 85.28
There were a few options for Game of the Week this week, but I had to go with the two hottest teams in the league facing off this week. Chris is on a 4 game winning streak after starting the season 0-2, while Clint is on a 3 game winning streak after starting 0-3.
Clint has averaged 128.86 points over his 3 game win streak and Chris has averaged 125.26 during his 4 week streak. Those are both scores that would win most weeks in this league.
Before the season I told Clint he would finish last because he has no RBs. He still only Chuba and occassionally Rhamondre, but his WR's and QB are carrying him. Bryce Young became a fantasy stud this year while JSN has continued his dominance as the best WR in the league and Tet has become the perfect stack with Young.
Chris's team is putting up their numbers as a team. He really doesn't have any stars, but everyone is conisistent. Plus you have guys like Tre Tucker that can randomly pop off for 30 points any given week.
I'm going to have to go with Clint this week. Chris losing Tuten and Evans really hurts his team from week to week. The Panthers are in a big division matchup where Young, Chuba, and Tet could go off for 75 points combined. I don't see him losing this one.
Commissioner's Pick: Clint (6-0)
